Deep-Frying Gyoza and Tempura in Refined Coconut Oil
This high-quality coconut oil is rich in lauric acid and medium-chain fatty acids to keep us healthy. The refined version is conveniently light on flavour, which makes it ideal for cooking many dishes and for use in room-temperature salad-dressings. I combine this coconut oil with peanut oil in my deep-fryer, which we use occasionally. Both oils have very high heat-tolerance; coconut oil is the ideal.
